Warm conversation, practical help and steady support—in your own home and at your own pace.
Hello, I’m Roz

I’m a UK-trained nurse now living in the Algarve. Although my nursing qualification is not registered in Portugal, it gives me a strong foundation for providing thoughtful, capable home support and hands-on care.
There is no one-size-fits-all version of care. We can talk about what would make daily life safer, easier or more comfortable, then agree support that feels right for you and your family.
I place particular importance on companionship and specialise in supporting people living with mental-health challenges. I offer a calm, non-judgemental presence alongside practical help, routine and meaningful human connection.
Care is provided in English. I am currently learning Portuguese.
How I can help
Genuine conversation, shared activities and calm company—helping life feel more connected, purposeful and enjoyable.
Patient, non-judgemental companionship and practical support for people living with mental-health challenges.
Dependable, person-centred help for people living with long-term care needs.
Practical support, meals and gentle encouragement while you recover and regain confidence at home.
Respectful, hands-on help with washing, dressing, mobility and everyday routines.
Shopping, nourishing meals, errands, appointments and the practical jobs that make life easier.
Wound dressing and aftercare support where appropriate, within my competence and an agreed care plan.
Mental-health support is practical and non-clinical. It does not replace medical, psychiatric or emergency services.
A simple beginning
Local, independent care
Supporting people across the Western Algarve, including Vila do Bispo, Raposeira, Burgau, Luz, Barão de São Miguel and Barão de São João. If you are nearby but not listed, please ask.
More than getting things done
A cup of tea, a walk, cooking together, help getting out of the house, or time with someone who genuinely listens. Companionship can support confidence, routine and wellbeing while helping people remain connected to the lives they value.
Ready when you are
Tell me what kind of support you are looking for. There is no obligation, and we can decide together whether I’m the right person to help.
